All apple iphone models12/29/2023 ![]() ![]() And the latest iPhone currently is 2022’s iPhone 14 series which got its release date on September 16, 2022.Īnd, before you ask, yes, we CAN count, but Apple didn’t release an iPhone 9 instead, it skipped the iPhone 9 series and went straight to the iPhone X (AKA the iPhone 10, whereby 10 denotes the iPhone’s 10th anniversary). The first iPhone ever launched on June 29, 2007. Here’s a quick breakdown of every iPhone Apple has released to date, by year. IPhones In Order of Release Date – From 2007 To 2022 And the reason for this is simple: it is right before the busiest shopping season of the year – the run-up to Christmas. Usually, by the time the new iPhone launches, we know nearly all of its new specs and features.Īs you can see below from the iPhone release date history list, Apple tends to favor September/November when it comes to release dates. As the year progresses, and the new iPhone launch gets closer, the leaks become more frequent and revealing. Usually, this means we start seeing solid iPhone leaks during the first half of the year. They usually launch inside Q3 and then get a release date during early Q4 – this has been the case since around 2012. IPhone launches and release dates have moved around quite a bit over the years, but during the last half-decade, Apple has settled into something of a rhythm with its iPhone releases. Crazy, right? Tansan aspect in maya glyphs12/29/2023 ![]() ![]() One of the most mysterious components of the Lunar series is Glyph X, whose existence and placement within the sequence was pointed out by Sylvanus Morley a hundred years ago (Morley 1916). Although the significance of many of its elements has been discovered thanks to hundred years of research, there are still significant lacks of understanding. Each main entry is followed by a reference to the hieroglyphic text in which the example can be found, while seven color figures illustrate a selection of these entries. The Lunar Series of Classic Maya hieroglyphic inscriptions still presents intriguing mysteries to the scholar. ![]() The entries in the original and in this updated preliminary vocabulary have been elicited from hoeroglyphic texts (either carved, incised, or painted) on stone and wooden monuments (stelae, lintels, altars, etc.), on portable objects of stone, wood, bone, and shell, in murals, on cave walls, on ceramics, and in three of the four surviving screenfold books. The updated English-Classic Maya vocabulary contains over 530 entries. The updated version of this preliminary vocabulary of hieroglyphic readings (still a precursor to a fully illustrated vocabulary) contains some 1,275 main entries, each defined with a minimum of one transcribed glyph example (in total there are over 2,500 transcription examples). During the period of June 2007-March 2009, the original vocabulary of 2002 was checked, revised, reduced, enlarged, and is now annotated in close to 300 cases. This is the updated preliminary Classic Maya-English, English-Classic Maya vocabulary. Figure 1: Roys' chart of the Glyph X variants, as reproduced by Kelley (1976: Fig. Roys' chart of the forms Glyph X1 to X6 was published by Wyllys Andrews (1934), who tried to show that each form of Glyph X accompanies two consecutive coefficients of Glyph C (Figure 1). The different forms of Glyph X were first compared and numbered by Lawrence Roys. A few years later, John Teeple noticed that the forms of Glyph X co-varied with the coefficient of Glyph C (1930). Morley was able to show that Glyph X follows Glyph C and precedes Glyph B, and that Glyph B never occurs without the presence of Glyph X. The Lunar Series of Classic Maya hieroglyphic inscriptions still presents intriguing mysteries to the scholar. However, as the following sections attest, in spite of a variety of confounding factors and interpretive obstacles, there is a great deal that we can say about the linguistics of ancient Maya writing These are now the subject of considerable study, debate, and discussion. With the decipherment of the script in the 1980s and ’90s, specialists soon realized that many of the basic phonological, morphological, and syntactic features of this language are represented in great detail by the ancient writing system. Remarkably, virtually all of the extant hieroglyphic texts seem to represent a single “prestige” language that, even at the time of its use, may have been highly formalized and even archaic in some of its features (Macri and Ford 1997 Houston et al. These mostly record religious and historical information, although the styles and genres of such texts varied considerably over time and space. Thousands of ancient texts survive on stone monuments, various portable objects such as ceramics, and in three (possibly four) screen-fold books dating to the later stages of the script’s history. In this period the hieroglyphic script was used throughout the region we traditionally know as the “Lowland Maya area,” concentrated mostly in the lowlands of what is today Guatemala, Belize, southern Mexico (Yucatan, Campeche, Quintana Roo, Chiapas, and Tabasco) and parts of western Honduras. 300 B.C.) and lasting until the time of European conquest and domination. ![]() This essay provides an overview of the language attested in ancient Maya hieroglyphic writing, or what we choose to call Classic Mayan.1 The writing system was in use for nearly two thousand years, beginning in what archaeologists call the Late Preclassic period (ca. ![]()

Opus magnum gifs12/29/2023 ![]() I started at over 40 cycles cycles, then dropped down to 28, then 21. ![]() We pushed the bounds of the simplest level to their absolute limit. The very first level in Opus Magnum simply asks you to assemble a water molecule, but once solutions started being shared it became a race to see who could make a water-machine that ran faster than anyone else’s. Opus Magnum’s awesome GIF exporter makes it extremely easy to share solutions with friends, though they’re often taken as challenges. One of the most incredible examples of this was a “water fight” that broke out with a few people I know on Twitter. Seeing that I hit the average on my size and cost, but was a bit slower than average on speed nearly always sent me right back into the puzzle I’d just completed to try and shave a few cycles off of my design. This open information motivated me in a way I wasn’t expecting. You can see the rough averages of what most people managed to hit for that puzzle in the form of a set of bar graphs, as well as specific bests for anyone on your friends list – there’s also an option to turn on the top scores in the world once you’ve beaten the campaign. Sure, I could half-heartedly slap together a big and ugly answer to most levels without too much challenge, but that wouldn’t earn me the satisfaction that a finely tuned piece of machinery generates.Īfter completing a level, you are presented with leaderboards based on the three criteria of speed, size, and cost. Through all the testing and refining and retesting, the main thing pushing me to find better solutions was my own genuine desire to do so – a desire created by the very natural way Opus Magnum promotes a sense of competition. Anything You Can Build I Can Build Better It generally didn’t take too much massaging to get a machine to behave how I wanted when it began acting up, but I still found myself wishing these interactions were better explained. Sometimes pieces will repeat their commands while others are still going, but other times empty placeholders will be automatically added to keep each piece in sync. There are some handy keyboard shortcuts that speed up the programming once you get the hang of them, but the command timeline didn’t always behave how I expected it to. Placing and positioning each machine piece is only half of building a working assembly line, with the other half taking the form of programming those pieces to take set actions in perfect harmony with one another – moving, then letting go of an ingredient just as another arm gets ready to grab, and then move it somewhere else. Despite the relatively straightforward goal of each level, Opus Magnum has a lot of different moving parts I had to learn to control. ![]()

Threat ii another tomorrow hentai12/28/2023 ![]() ![]() Will they really be impressed by your racing off for a quick invasion of England, when they’ve mentioned a couple of times their admiration of a Viking’s predilection for mead? Is complimenting their brickwork going to flatter, or patronise? Because, in the end, both parties want to see some farms getting set on fire, and it’s important this happen in the most respectful way possible. But worry not, because the focus here is being entertained by the truly excellent writing, and that comes in spades.Īs you progress, each encounter with a town gets trickier, with your chosen dialogue needing to be based on carefully listening to the location’s thoughts and desires. Which is as nothing compared to your setting sail from the South coast to reach… Londinium. Where the map shows you invading in somewhere near Perth in Scotland, the game declares your arrival in the South of England – Wareham specifically – meaning it’s out by about 500 miles and one sovereign nation. Because this game is both bonkers and lovely.įrankly, I’m delighted by how appalling the game’s geography is. Oh, and after a simply lovely date with Normandy, the town decided – even though it had had a lovely time – that it didn’t want things to end in a raid after all. Then there’s the constant threat of goats, a rivalry with the appositely named Bjorn Rivalson, and an incessant volley of insults against the English, no matter which country you’re in. The villages are generally very excited to be pillaged, and as you burn down the buildings and chase the locals out of town, the two of you tend to have emotional chats, rather than… you know. Windows shatter! Buildings collapse! Birds explode mid-flight! You are grasped by an immense sorrow because of all those birds.”īut more importantly, this is just incredibly silly. “You did not know the sheer volume you are capable of. ![]() In your drunken attempt to impress the first village in the game, you can choose between roaring, barfing, roar-barfing, or boasting of your intellectual activities. ![]() It certainly helps that DDR‘s dialogue makes this distinction somewhat irrelevant. Yet, it’s superbly safe to say DDR does not merit any such concerns. And as such, I’ve long struggled to recognise a significant difference between the wokewashed world of “progressive” dating sims, and the infinite spew of misogynistic hentai fuckathons released every day on Steam. In the end, no matter how it’s dressed up, it’s about trying to get laid. Then there are the implicit issues of all these dating games, where the line between being empathic and coercive is always deeply blurred. Viking pillaging, historically, is perhaps not renowned for its respectful and consent-based approach to invasion. So, there are likely some immediate concerns here. You’re going to need to listen to the village’s needs, desires, and interests. So it’s clearly the perfect choice for a game about falling in love with small towns.īecause in order to pillage a village, you’re going to need a grillage permillage that avoids emotional spillage. Within Japan, it’s far better recognised as the ideophone for a heartbeat, and has been in the name of games going back to the Famicon. The term “doki doki” has, it’s fair to say, been somewhat subsumed in the West by Doki Doki Literature Club!, 2017’s enormously popular VN about love in a high school club. ![]()

Native instruments traktor demo12/28/2023 ![]() ![]() Note: Mac Mojave users have to create a new account/user with admin permissions and download the S4 MK3 Firmware Update from the NI website using Safari to be able to update the controller firmware. That said, the sound is amazing and very clear, the unit feels solid, although it's plastic, and, so far, I love playing with it. ![]() ![]() In fact, if there were dust sleeves, the faders would probably last even longer. Although the faders are inverted and carbon protect, that doesn't mean that dust sleeves are obsolete. This made me anxious, so I improvised some external ones made of felt and mask tape. One huge overlook from NI, in my opinion, is the lack of dust sleeves inside the faders. I'll keep experimenting with TSI's and wait for another update. A slight nudge of the jog wheel and the problem solves itself. Playing using either TT or Jog mode, there are still few "bugs" that cause the software to sometimes not interpret the MIDI signal correctly and the Tempo glitches a bit making beatmatching not so accurate. However, the operation is not as smooth as you would expect from such an expensive controller. The S4 MK3 allows me to have all the fun of vinyl without the hassle of having to carry heavy records in a trolley. The motorized jog wheels in TT mode are a lot of fun to DJ with, no doubt. Got a second unit from Thomann and this unit is now working fine (thank you, Thomann). The first unit I got, clearly had a left jog wheel issue that caused the music on Deck A (and C) to drag and skip on its own. I confess I ordered this controller because of the motorized jog wheels feature. I have the option to send statistics and reports ON and I recommend you do too, otherwise it's slower for these problems to get fixed! I'm just bummed I didn't grab it for €759 before it rose in price to €899!ĮDIT (1/10/22): The screen bug doesn't appear to have happened for a while. Reproducible bug and I'm sure it will be solved in time. ![]() The only issue I have had so far is sometimes the mini-screen for the waveform and track information just stays saying Traktor until I turn the unit off and back on (while Traktor is running). The lighting is well balanced and the controls and commands are more intuitive as you continue to use it. However, I haven't gotten used to it enough to be able to truly judge it.įinally - the unit is really well built, it just has a premium feel. The torque is just like a turntable, no joke, it is. The Haptic feedback technology is really, really interesting. I recommend the "P600" and the Filter Type "Ladder" for that natural resonance sweep without distortion. Click the settings cog, go to the "Mixer" tab and experiment. On first launch, the "EQ Selection" will be set to "Classic". DVS, a massive selection of FX - assignable to 3 tracks for each deck and also a mixer FX section where you have 4 FX switches plus an additional filter switch! There are a nice few filter models which can be changed in Traktor, which I recommend. They give you everything, for one initial price. However, Serato seem to be the EA of DJing software - "we have the features you want, but it will cost you extra on top of the original purchase!" You have to pay extra for DVS, FX & filter models in a lot of cases so do your research!Ĭontrast this to Native Instruments and Traktor. The Numark NVII does a good job of trying to be CDJs, the built in screens are just amazing and mean you can keep laser focused on mixing instead of taking your head up to look at a screen. If you've used CDJs or other standalone decks and gotten comfortable with them, only then will you understand the feeling of limitations in controllers. I was stuck between the Numark NVII and this. ![]()
